Planning – Key for Success

Success requires hard work and a good plan. Indeed, planning is particularly crucial to deliver qualitative services since we are entering the customer premises and performing non-core tasks so that our client can concentrate on their core business. Therefore, a proper plan combined with an understanding of the requirements from all the stakeholders involved is key to a successful planning.

Environmental Factors

First, it is essential to understand correctly the business environment in a bigger picture rather than only as an IFM service provider. It is critical to base our scenarios through an in-depth analysis of not only local scale, but also a global perspective when it comes to our service offerings and current trends. In order to correctly determine our current and future standing, we must analyse these internal and external findings. By applying this method, we can understand external forces impacting our line of business and how to correctly address these environmental factors challenges.

Planning Scenarios & Adjustments

You probably know that even a good plan cannot always prevent unexpected events. This is why we must be ready with different plans. We need to always ask ourselves “What if” under different scenarios. Indeed, continuous scenario planning is equal to survival or failure if we don’t have one. We can of course pursue the original planning, but we must be able to switch to a different path if any issues arise from the existing plan. Having a path or plan and being flexible/ready for all possible scenarios are equally critical to the organization success.
