Interviewer
Good morning Victoria. Today, we would like to discuss with you about account management. But first could you please introduce a bit about yourself and your work?
Victoria
Yes, my name is Victoria Lee, I joined GBFMS in 2018 and it has been two years and a half that I have been supporting this global client here in Korea as an account manager directly at the client site.
Interviewer
Account Managers have multiple roles at the client facility. But what are your main duties?
Victoria
That’s right, my work is various, but the key duties are to handle the projects that the client requires to ensure the well-functioning of its operations. For instance, making the project schedule, communicating with our team of engineers or global manufacturer since some parts in the facility need to be ordered from abroad. These are part of my work.
Interviewer
I’m sure projects don’t always go as expected. How do you handle emergency situations?
Victoria
Yes, any issue can happen at anytime. So I respond directly wherever and whenever I am. I try to find the project solution and give the client an estimated schedule as soon as possible. If I have never experienced similar situation or struggle to find the most appropriate solution for the project, I always report and discuss with my manager.
Interviewer
What steps do you take to ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationship with the client?
Victoria
I think it all comes down to communication. Understanding the client’s needs and expectations is key. Also, it is important to keep talking about the condition of the facility and to be transparent and always ready to anticipate or solve any of their site facility issue. In the case of this client, we go through the facility every week and discuss the condition of the facility. It allows us to prevent and anticipate most issues and to quickly react to any issue that may arise.
Interviewer
What is the most important quality to have as an account manager?
Victoria
Diligence and tenacity. As an account manager, we spend a lot of our time solving various issues, but if we work patiently and sincerely, we can absolutely support and make the client happy!

Victoria
I love being an account manager. And when I achieve a project, I feel so happy and proud of myself.
